The Statement of Concern on Fluoridation

Description of the SoC

The Statement of Concern on Fluoridation (SoC) is an effort started a few years ago to collect the signatures of professional individuals and organizations who are concerned about the wisdom of the public policy of water fluoridation. It was designed not to demand the end to fluoridation, but to educate and convince those in power to consider all the evidence and to reconsider the policy and practice.

The SoC offers medical, scientific, and environmental reasons, two pages of References, and a two-page brief History of important recent events and publications. The SoC is an informative learning tool as well as a powerful statement that explicitly supports the EPA union’s calls for a Congressional investigation.

We cannot change the SoC document itself at this point to accommodate all the rapid changes going on. However, we regularly update the History document, and the SoC will be submitted with a cover letter identifying all the latest changes. It will also be submitted in coordination with the complementing POWA petition.

We already have several hundred individual professional signatures, mostly dentists, and over 30 from organizations, none of them fluoride opposition groups (by design).
